Police name man who died in A6 collision at Milnthorpe

[P]olice have confirmed that the man who died in the A6 collision yesterday (March 7th) has been formally identified as Joseph Eric Park, of Milnthorpe.

The 74-year-old, known as Eric, was cycling along the A6 when he was in collision with a black Audi A3, driven by a Kendal man in his 20s. He was uninjured.

Eric’s family are being supported by a specially trained officer.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, which occurred near to the junction with St Anthony’s Hill, to contact PC 2373 Steve Mossop on 101.
