Tom Howard

[A] You Tube motoring star who tests some of the world’s top cars has been announced as a guest speaker at Cumbria’s premier motoring event next month.

Tom Howard, also known as The Gentleman Racer, has joined the line up of the Cumbria International Motor Show at the Westmorland Show Ground on Sunday 20th May.

Tom has more than 30,000 followers across social media channels and has worked with some of the most sought after supercar brands including launching the Jaguar MY18 F-Type SVR with a road trip to Paris.

He has also worked with Bentley, Maserati, Ferrari and Aston Martin as well as luxury lifestyle brands such as Tissot and Zenith watches.

Tom will be speaking to the audience about the heritage behind the Aston Martin DB4 and the Jaguar XKSS and their motorsport backgrounds before becoming road cars. Both cars were reissued in strictly limited numbers in 2017. There will also be a Q&A session. He will be arriving in a Jaguar F-Type sports car and will join the judging panel to award the Concours d’Excellence top prize.

He said: “Classic cars have been a passion of mine for many years, and I’m really looking forward to sharing the story of the Continuation Models and their vast motorsport history with the Cumbria International Motor Show.”

Show organiser, David Robinson said: “Tom is a great ambassador for Jaguar and Aston Martin and has lots of experience and insider knowledge of both brands. Tom’s appearance will complement Aston Martin’s first visit to the Show this year, which is a big coup for us. He’s also just back from the Geneva Motor Show and looking forward to seeing how we do things in Cumbria.”

This year’s show will include more than 600 iconic cars, plenty of family entertainment, a live music marquee stage, and more than 30 trader’s stalls including Banks Lyon jewellery, Dean & Susie Ellison’s Big Bobble Hats, The Westmorland Sandwich, Ulverston’s new speciality mobile coffee van – Coffee Bean & Gone, and the Snaffle Gin & Cake Bar.

The 7th Cumbria International Motor Show is sponsored by Kentdale Jaguar, LandRover of Kendal and takes place at the Westmorland Show Ground from 10.30am-4.30pm on Sunday 20th May. To book advance day tickets at just £6 per adult and £3 for under 16’s, visit https://www.breweryarts.co.uk/event/7th-cumbria-international-motor-show.
