[A]t 1:14pm yesterday, Tuesday 3 July firefighters were called to reports of a fire on a railway embankment at Durranhill Industrial Estate in Carlisle.
On arrival the crew discovered several small pockets of fire.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters extinguished them using water and beaters and were in attendance for around 25 minutes.
“Network Rail staff were also in attendance.”
At 6:16am today, Wednesday 4 July firefighters were called to a fire on a railway embankment at Durranhill Industrial Estate.
On arrival the crew discovered that it was a small fire.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Firefighters liaised with Network Rail staff and extinguished the fire with water.
“They were in attendance for more than an hour-and-a-half.”
