At 12:25am today, Thursday 30 August firefighters were called to the Prince of Wales dock, Northside Road, Workington, after a report of someone falling on a boat.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “A man had fallen off a ladder on a boat and was rescued by crews using a stretcher and working at height equipment.
“He was then handed into the care of paramedics.
“Crews were at the scene for 40 minutes.”
