About 11am on Tuesday 25 September 2018, officers searching for the missing man, Doctor George Alex Porteous found the body of a man in woodland near to Beeswing.
A Police Scotland spokesman said: “The body has now been identified as that of Doctor Porteous and his family have been informed of this development.
“There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
