Men accused of alleged Carlisle burglaries appear in court

Following a spate of burglaries in Carlisle, three-men have appeared from custody before Magistrates at the Rickergate court house in Carlisle

The men face various allegations of burglary from a number of premises in Carlisle.

Tjay Brian O’Neil, 27, faces allegations of burglary from Vasey’s furniture store, on Lancaster Street on October 2; on the same date an allegation of fraud, that he used a stolen debit card.

Also an allegation of burglary from the Walkabout pub on Botchergate on September 28, that he stole £256 from a cash machine.

It is further alleged that between 1 and 30 September he conspired with Tyler Nunn to enter as a trespasser a retail premises in Carlisle.

Tyler Nunn, 21, is alleged to have conspired with Tjay O’Neil to conspire together to commit burglary at a number of various retail premises in Carlisle between September 1 and 30th also between the same dates alleged to have offered to supply an amount of the class A drug cocaine and class B drug cannabis.

Also an attempted burglary on September 21, from Mama Mia fish shop on Scotch Street.

Dean Antony Smith, 25, appeared facing allegations of fraud by using a stolen credit card from October 2, and theft by entering Vaseys furniture store as a trespasser.

Also an allegation of burglary from September 28, at the Walkabout pub where money was stolen.

All three men gave John Street Hostel as their address.

No plea was entered by any of the three defendants to any of the allegations, the cases were sent to Carlisle Crown Court on November 5.

They were all remanded in custody until that date.
