Appeal after racially aggravated assault in Barrow

Police are investigating a report of a racially aggravated assault. The incident occurred on Thursday 18th October at approximately 5.30pm.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Two teenage youths, were on the upper level of the multi-storey car park, on Duke Street, Barrow and have spat on pedestrians walking below, as they passed along the footpath from Portland Walk to Duke Street.

“After spitting on the victims, the youths have shouted racial remarks at them.”

Anyone with information or who witnessed this incident should contact police quoting log 212 of 18 of October 2018.
