Police are investigating a reported theft which is suspected to be linked to people calling door-to-door in the Meeting House Lane area of Ulverston.

Three salespeople, all male, were offering cleaning products on Monday afternoon (Apr 15).

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “One is reported to have stolen back products bought by an elderly woman.

“Two of the salespeople were dark-haired, with one described as slim.

“One was fair-haired and more thickset. This is the one accused of stealing the products.

“All were white, described as fairly young and about 5ft 6ins or 5ft 7ins tall.

“Police would advise people to be wary of cold callers and to keep their homes secure at all times.”

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, referring to incident 148 of April 15 – or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
