The team behind one of Cumbria’s most popular beer and music festivals – the Grasmere Guzzler – is bringing a brand new Christmas Market to Grasmere later this month.
Tweedies Bar & Lodge will be welcoming people to the two-day Grasmere Christmas Market on Saturday 23 November (Midday-8pm) and Sunday 24 November 2019 (11am-7pm).
As well as live music throughout the weekend, and real-life reindeer from Cosy Logs at Ings, the free event will feature a range of festive food and drink, crafts and gifts from a range of local producers. That includes everything from jewellery, art and pottery to organic beauty products and artisan foodie treats.
As home to the annual Grasmere Guzzler, there will be plenty of beers to choose from too, alongside a mobile bar from the Lakes Distillery. Tweedies Bar will be open for special winter warmers on both days, including mulled wine and cider and hearty home-cooked fayre.
Laura Goodall, Manager at Tweedies Bar & Lodge, says, “We’re excited to be launching a brand-new festive event for people to enjoy in the run-up to Christmas. It’s something extra special for Grasmere and we think it will be a magical atmosphere amongst the twinkling lights of our grounds and gardens. We’re also expecting the reindeer to be a big attraction for visitors.”
