Police investigating incidents in Kendal that are believed to be linked have today made an arrest.
A 55-year-old man from Kendal was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife in a public place and committing an offence with the intention of committing a relevant sexual offence. He remains in police custody.
A 41-year-old man from Kendal was previously arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and has been released on police bail.
