Global superstar Sir Tom Jones has announced that his ‘A Celebration’ tour, which was due to take place this summer, has been postponed, but is delighted to confirm rescheduled dates for the original shows, which will now take place in summer 2021.

On the rescheduling of these dates Sir Tom said: I’m really sorry to have to inform you that my shows scheduled for this Summer have had to be postponed until next year. As you most likely are aware, public performances are sadly not going forward as normal for just about everyone who works in music and entertainment.

My team have been monitoring the UK government advice on organised gatherings and I now need to take this action to ensure the protection of fans, my crew and everyone who works in support of the shows. It is also important to help ease the pressure on those working on the front line to fight this virus.

You all know how much I love performing but everybody’s safety must come first.

Behind the scenes we’ve been working with local promoters to re-schedule all the shows from this summer as closely as possible. To make it easy, all tickets already purchased for this year will remain valid for the re-scheduled shows in 2021. A full list of all re-scheduled dates can be found on my website.

In the meantime, please stay home, stay safe and I look forward to seeing you all soon.

Fans are assured that all tickets held for original dates will be honoured and are transferrable to the corresponding 2021 show.

Any ticket queries should be directed to your point of purchase, however ticket holders are reminded that all ticket agents, venues and promoters are extremely busy, working with skeleton staff in these unprecedented times, so ask for patience with any enquiries.

Sunday 25 July 2021 is the replacement date for the Carlisle show.

Remaining tickets are on sale now from lhgtickets.com and Ticketmaster.co.uk

Liz Doogan-Hobbs MBE, CEO of LHG Events, promoter said: “We are extremely sad that we won’t be seeing Sir Tom Jones delight his fans this summer, celebrating his 80th Birthday, however in these unprecedented times, this is the right decision for all and we fully support the decision.

“We are pleased that we have been able to re-schedule the concert to 2021, when I have no doubt that we’ll all be ready for one huge celebration. We are extremely grateful to all of Tom’s team, our venue and ticketing partners for their help and support in re-scheduling these concerts.”
