Organisers of the Keswick Mountain Festival (KMF) have announced details of a virtual event that will take place from 15-17 May.

Hosted on the festival’s Facebook page, the event will include exclusive content from high profile speakers, competitions, music, and a running challenge.

This year’s main Keswick Mountain Festival has been postponed 12 months and will now run from 21-23 May 2021. In the meantime, the KMF team is urging people to enjoy a taste of the festival at home instead. All of the virtual Keswick Mountain Festival programme will be available on the KMF Facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/KeswickMountainFestival.

Cameron McNeish will speak during the virtual Keswick Mountain Festival

Exclusive speaker vignettes. Tune in on Friday and Sunday evenings for exclusive video content courtesy of festival speakers, Cameron McNeish and Richard Else.

Competitions and special offers. KMF has teamed up with Lakes Distillery, Land Rover, Bauer Media and Millican for competitions that will run across the weekend. There will also be the opportunity to claim a free issue of Trail and Country Walking magazines.

Huey Morgan’s NYC Block Party Playlist will feature in the virtual Keswick Mountain Festival

Saturday night soundtrack and cocktails. DJ Huey Morgan has shared his funk, soul, disco and hip hop NYC Block Party Playlist with KMF, which will be available on the KMF YouTube Channel from Saturday evening. And Lakes Distillery have created some step by step videos for serving up the perfect gin cocktails to enjoy with Huey’s soundtrack.

#MyKMFKilometres. KMF has teamed up with Trail Running magazine for the #MyKMFkilometres challenge. Starting on Friday 15 May, runners should complete 5km, 10km, 25km or 50km over the whole weekend (sticking to government guidelines) and share details of what they have done in Trail Running magazine’s #Run1000Miles Facebook group.

Full details of everything that will be part of the virtual Keswick Mountain Festival will appear on the event’s Facebook page, with activities kicking off on the morning of Friday 15 May.
