VL Aesthetics

A Cumbrian clinic has scooped a major award in the national ‘Oscars’ of the beauty industry.

VL Aesthetics was named Midlands and North West Salon of the Year at the Professional Beauty Awards.

The online awards ceremony this week saw Carlisle’s leading skin, body and laser clinic was up against salons from as far afield as Merseyside and Nottinghamshire.

Vanessa Brown, owner of VL Aesthetics clinic, said: “To win this award is an incredible achievement and a reward for all the hard work that we put in on a day-to-day basis.

“We aim to provide our clients with the best experience from start to finish; an exceptional service at every stage of the client journey.

“Our practitioners are so experienced and skilled in their field, and the fact that our clients keep coming back to us reflects that.

“People often travel from Newcastle, Glasgow, and the Scottish Borders to access our services.”

The Professional Beauty Awards is a prestigious national awards scheme for the beauty, spa, nails and aesthetics markets.

It recognises those who stand out from the crowd and deserve recognition as a world-class player in the beauty and spa industry.

VL Aesthetics prides itself on providing treatments that it says are at the cutting edge of science and beauty, and at the forefront of progressive aesthetic procedures in the region.

Vanessa added: “Because we’re the first clinic in Cumbria to offer such a range of services, we’re always developing to offer results-driven treatments that are clinically proven to be safe and effective, such as body contouring, laser hair removal, and non-surgical face lifts.

“The client base and demand for service has increased so much that we invested over £50k in 2019 to create a state of the art clinic.

“We’ve gone from having one treatment room to seven, all in the space of three years.

“We’ve quickly grown to become the largest clinic in Cumbria, and it’s fantastic to have this success recognised nationally.”

The win comes just days after the clinic became the first ever clinic in Cumbria to be shortlisted for the prestigious 2021 Aesthetics Awards, alongside clinics in cities such as Liverpool and Manchester.

“The awards applications are judged on everything from how safe and effective the treatments are to staff training and business development, as well as the standard of the facilities, technology and skincare lines used.

Vanessa added: “It’s an honour to be shortlisted for the Aesthetics Awards – it’s the best in the industry. It recognises those with a strong medical focus who are constantly developing their services and adapting to the market, so it’s specific to what we do at VL Aesthetics.

“To win two prestigious awards in the space of six months would be unbelievable.”

Winners will be announced at the Aesthetics Awards ceremony in London on May 29.
