A short film tells the story of how an Ambleside vet made the difficult decision to halt her all-in-one Wainwright’s challenge after four days.

After setting off early last Friday, Sabrina Verjee made excellent progress and was well ahead of schedule during her first three days of running, but lower than expected temperatures were starting to set off her asthma.

After kicking off the challenge early last Friday, Sabrina Verjee made excellent progress and was well ahead of schedule during her first three days of running, but lower than expected temperatures were starting to set off her asthma.

On day four, brutal weather conditions aggravated the situation, making it increasingly difficult for Sabrina to breathe comfortably during ascents.

Although she was still ahead of schedule, this forced her to stop for a substantial rest early on Tuesday morning.

Struggling to cope with the strain caused by her asthma, she was forced to make the difficult decision to halt her challenge.
