Have you ever dreamed of playing in front of thousands at Cumbria’s biggest music festival?
Over the years, Kendal Calling has played host to some of the biggest homegrown artists in the UK.
Whether it’s DJ superstar Calvin Harris, folk heroes Mumford and Sons or indie popstars The 1975, the festival has always championed the careers of emerging artists.
This year proves no exception, as the festival is on the lookout for budding artists and musicians to take to the stage.
The festival’s apply-to-play service is available and is open to any and all artists who wish to submit their music to the booking team.
Successful artists will get the chance to play to thousands in the fields this year alongside household names such as Supergrass, Stereophonics and The Streets.
Artists such as Jess Glynne, Catfish and The Bottlemen and Rag’n’Bone Man started out playing smaller stages at Kendal and have since worked their way to the top of the bill at events across the country.
Emma Zillman, festival booker, said: “I love listening to what comes in through artist applications; it’s a great way to discover new talent. The smaller stages at the festival are always full of people who love to find new artists, so it’s a great opportunity to pick up fans.”
