A boutique hotel in the Lake District has been revamped after £100,000 was invested by its owners.
The Cranleigh Boutique hotel, based in Bowness-on-Windermere, unlocked the doors to the newly-refurbished Seduction Suite and hotel revamp after working with local interior designer Rita Millat to ‘redefine the romance within the brand’.
The Boutique – which is made up of a 17-room hotel, award-winning Church Suites, and offsite self-catering – had previously been closed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
The Cranleigh Boutique used the time to work alongside in-house designer Rita Millat and local suppliers to refresh the interior.
The Seduction Suite
The team at the hotel have turned two rooms into one to form the newly-refurbished Seduction Suite, a top-floor private retreat with a ‘huge walk-in shower, opulent bath, and Smart TV with streaming services’.

A new feature to this room and to the Cranleigh Boutique is the walk-in dressing room and bedside wireless phone charging.

“I wanted guests to feel special by having their own space where they can get ready,” said Rita Millat, who designed the suite.
“So I used not one, but three mirrors. I also wanted the dressing room to have no doors, so if your partner wanted a sneak peek, they could.”

Hotel refurbishment
About £100,000 was spent modernising the Grade II listed buildings at the site.

They decided to match up the style and comfort of the rooms with that of the public areas, using neutral colours.
A new reception desk and seating area have also been added. The guest area fireplace has also been refreshed, and the area dressed with new seating, plants, and flooring.
They have upgraded their living space as part of this renovation with a new Club Room. The modernised new decor, local artwork, and a full refresh of the walls and flooring give guests a brand-new experience.

Ahead of welcoming new and returning guests, improvements have been made to the living space lounge.
