Passengers are facing disruption on the railway between Whitehaven and Carlisle due to an unsafe building.
An unsafe building near the railway at Workington means no trains are currently able to run through this station.
All lines are currently blocked and road transport will operate between Whitehaven and Carlisle. Disruption is expected for the rest of the day.
Road transport is running between Whitehaven and Carlisle.
The following buses have been confirmed:
- 5pm Carlisle – via booked stations – Whitehaven (Operated by Workington Heritage Trust)
- 6pm Carlisle – via booked stations – Whitehaven (Operated by South Lakes Travel)
