Cumbria CVS is holding a series of volunteering information sessions to answer your questions about how you can volunteer in Cumbria this summer.
The events, held online via the Zoom platform, are hosted by Cumbria CVS in partnership with different organisations.
A spokesman said: “This is an amazing opportunity to meet local charities, find out when and where they need volunteers, the volunteering opportunities that they have available, induction, training and support for volunteers, the benefits of volunteering and how to register and apply to be volunteer.”
British Heart Foundation, Tuesday July 27, noon to 1pm
The British Heart Foundation has charity shops and in some areas, furniture and electrical stores.
It is looking to recruit new volunteers in Barrow, Keswick, Penrith, and Bowness-on-Windermere.

Eden Animal Rescue, Wednesday August 4, noon to 1pm

The area where it is looking for new volunteers are shop volunteers, animal care volunteers, fundraisers, bakers, gardeners, maintenance volunteers and fosterers of animals looking for new homes.
Do you live in Eden, love animals and have some spare time to offer?
