Two people have been injured after a car and a lorry collided on the B5286 in Ambleside.
Emergency services attended a two-vehicle crash at 11.24am today near the Outgate Inn.
The road is closed in both directions and traffic is heavy as a result.
A red BMW X3 collided with a blue DAF HGV.
The driver of the BMW, a 48-year-old woman from Ambleside, sustained minor injuries.
A 42-year-old man from Morecambe, who was driving the HGV, was also treated for minor injuries.
