Some exciting tight finishes made the Hound Trailing Association’s Premier trails at Bridekirk one to remember.
Fortunately the threatening rain held off until the last of the six races and a big crowd enjoyed the sport on offer.
The day had kicked off with the senior trail and last year’s puppy champion, Cracking Last One edged-out Hunter’s Flame to grab the victory.
After Blue Blaze had just done enough to beat Kinniside Dan in the senior maidens Thorn Belle finished well to beat Kinniside Rebel and Matha in in the puppy trail.
In the puppy maidens another tight finish saw Winter Fell gain the honours ahead of Tommy’sTipple and Maggie.
The easiest winner of the day came in the open restricted when Babycham clearly sparkled in the conditions.
With the rain starting to fall the veterans trail brought proceedings to a close and it was General James who was successful ahead of Silver Dusk.
