A drop-in clinic has been arranged for pregnant women to get a COVID-19 vaccine in Carlisle.
A midwife will be at the clinic to offer advice and vaccinate anyone who’s pregnant or has any concerns.
The clinic is taking place from 09am to 5.30pm tomorrow, August 7, at St Paul’s Church, Lonsdale Street, Carlisle, CA1 1BJ.
As thousands of pregnant women have been safely vaccinated in the UK and worldwide, health leaders are urging women to have both doses of the vaccine to protect them and their unborn baby from the disease which can cause serious harm.
First and second doses of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines will be available at the clinic.
The second vaccine is only for those who have had their first jab at least eight weeks before.
People can either book through the NHS booking service, or just walk in – even if they aren’t registered with a GP and don’t have an NHS number.
