
Police are appealing for information following a report of a concern for a man seen walking on the railway tracks in Kendal this morning.
He was seen near to Plantation Bridge at around 9.40am.
Extensive searches have been carried out in the area by officers and the man has not been located.
He is believed to have gone in the direction of Staveley.
The man is described as white, 5ft 9in, of medium build with short cut dark hair, shaved around the ears, with a small amount of stubble.
He has tattoos on both of his arms and was last seen wearing a white T-shirt with black adidas tracksuit bottoms and was carrying a red phone.
