
Cockermouth’s David Gleave continued his excellent form with a dominant win in the Embleton 10-mile time trial.
Gleave’s time of 20 minutes 41 seconds at an average speed of 29.01mph was 45 seconds clear of newcomer Jon Sturman and 55 clear of the next best of the local riders Ken Brown of Workington’s time of 21.36.
Daniel Pons’ excellent time of 22.26 was the best by riders of standard road bikes.
The event was organised by Velo Club Cumbria as part of their club time trial league.
The club run time trials on Tuesday evenings from April to September.
