A Lake District farmhouse and holiday cottage complex, on the market for £1.2 million, has been sold.

Parkergate, near Bassenthwaite village, was marketed by Flude Property Consultants and Peill & Co.

It has been sold to people who are relocating to the area.

The four-bedroom farmhouse and six holiday cottages generated a lot of interest, said Flude.

Will Thomas, of Flude, added: “This particular opportunity generated a great deal of interest and represents the very type of lifestyle opportunity that is so sought after at the moment.

“The deal was concluded with our joint agent and PAI partner, Simon Adams of Peill & Co and was sold to new entrants to the industry, who relocated to the Lake District.”

The 2.49 acre site also includes a former barn, gardens and a large paddock.

The accommodation was sold fully equipped ready for trade to continue, Flude said and subject to consent, there was potential to increase the number of letting units.

Flude did not reveal how much the property sold for.
