
Two air ambulances were called to a crash involving multiple casualties on the A590.
Emergency services attended the crash involving a car and a HGV at about 8.30am today.
A spokesman for the Great North Air Ambulance Service said: “We attended an incident this morning down near Levens.
“There were reports of a collision between a car and a HGV.
“There were reports of multiple patients and we sent a rapid response vehicle with a doctor and paramedic.
“We took a patient by road to Royal Preston Hospital.”
The spokesman confirmed that an air ambulance from the North West Air Ambulance Charity also attended.
