Cleator Moor Celtic conceded in the second minute after a long trip to Campion – eventually losing their North West Counties League game 3-1.
Manager Martin Mahone said: “It set the tone for the first-half when they scored all their goals. It’s hard on lads who have been at work, getting on a bus for a long journey and then expected to be on their game straight away.
“In the second half, it was a different story as we had got to grips with it. We saw a lot of the ball and their goalkeeper made some outstanding saves. Overall it was that early goal which knocked us back.”
Centre-half Jordan Little, who is on loan from Workington Reds, headed Celtic back into the game when he scored from a 54th-minute corner.
But despite spells of good pressure they couldn’t break through again and are currently 13th of 19 in the League’s First Division North.
