A 24-year-old has been airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after a four-vehicle crash on the A590.
Police were called at around 2.45pm to the crash at Newby Bridge.
The collision involved a Volkswagen Polo, Audi A5, Renault Kangoo and Renault Master van.
A 24-year-old man, a passenger in the Volkswagen, was taken to hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
No other injuries were reported.
