Whitehaven coach Gary Charlton has a couple of injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s trip to York City Knights.
But it’s nothing compared to the knocks that opposite number James Ford has suffered following a tough game at Featherstone.
Charlton will check on the fitness of his two players who took knocks in last Sunday’s superb win over London Broncos.
Connor Holliday and Dion Aiye will undergo late fitness checks for suspected knee injuries.
Haven will go to York on the back of five straight home wins and six victories from their last seven matches.
Hosts York have numerous injury problems to cope with, the latest being Matty Marsh and Corey Johnson who picked-up injuries in the 44-14 defeat at Featherstone.
Marsh and Johnson will be given as long as possible to prove their fitness.
But several players will miss out this weekend following the bruising defeat at Featherstone which saw numerous players taken off hurt.
Coach James Ford said: “Tim Spears has broken his ribs and we suspect that Adam Cuthbertson has broken his ribs but it might be a rib cartilage injury.
“We’ll see how that settles down but he certainly won’t be included this week.
“Jordan Baldwinson is struggling with a back injury and he is unlikely to play while for Kriss Brining, the good news is that he hasn’t broken his ankle but he’s got a bad sprain, it’s pretty swollen and he’s struggling to walk so he won’t play this week.
“It’s not ideal but these kind of things are sent to test us and we’ve just got to bat on. We’re still looking forward to playing a really good Whitehaven team.”
