Workington Town rounded off a successful season with a presentation night for players, staff, officials and supporters.
Two players – Conor Fitzsimmons and Brad Holroyd – went home with a collection of trophies between them.
They were joint winners of the Workington Town RLFC Player of the year 2021 to cap outstanding seasons for both.
Forward Fitzsimmons was the Workington Town Supporters Club George Petre Memorial Trophy Player of the year; the Derwent Park Supporters Club Player of the year and Workington Town RLFC Players Player of the Year.
Winger Holroyd, who will be playing for Widnes in the Championship next season, has plenty to show for his season with Town as he also won Workington Town RLFC Players Young Player of the year; was the top try scorer and scored the try of the season against London Skolars from inside his own half.
There were also three awards for the seemingly ageless Carl Forber – Workington Town RLFC Golden Boot winner 2021; Workington Town RLFC moment of the season – Forber’s try after the hooter v Rochdale Hornets at home and top points scorer 2021.
