Six fire engines are at the scene of a fire at an industrial estate north of Carlisle.
Crews were called at about 9am to a commercial building fire on Kingmoor Park.
Firefighters are currently at the scene of the blaze, which involves a large industrial unit containing about 500 tonnes of plastic which is well alight.
Five fire engines, an aerial ladder platform and a water bowser are at the scene.
It is believed that the roof of the unit may contain asbestos, so firefighters ask that anyone living in the immediate area keeps windows and doors closed.
