A motorist has been charged with drink driving after he was stopped by police.
Neighbourhood policing officers in Alston stopped Joseph Wilkin at about 5pm on November 6.
Wilkin, 56, of Ameshaugh Rd, Leadgate near Alston, was charged with driving whilst over the limit for alcohol.
He was bailed to attend Carlisle’s magistrates’ court on November 23.
