Christmas came early for Carlisle shoppers as scores of kind-hearted bikers in festive dress called in, fittingly, at the St Nicholas retail park to raise funds for CFM Radio’s Cash for Kids appeal.
Members of clubs from across Cumbria and South West Scotland — including Carlisle-based Leviathan MCC and Devils Disciples — formed an eye-catching Santa-style convoy which has become an annual occasion and coincides with the launch of the Mission Christmas drive to support children of all ages.
Their bike run began at CFM’s Kingstown base, called in at the nearby Asda store and then travelled across town to the London Road site of main Mission Christmas sponsor B&M Bargains before heading into the city centre.
