A popular festive market has added new dates after being swamped with requests from customers and stallholders.
Having previously announced dates for their annual Festive Market, which will run from December 3 through to December 5, Yew Tree Barn in Low Newton, near Cartmell, have been swamped with requests from customers and stallholders to add extra dates in the run-up to Christmas.
Not wishing to disappoint, the team have given in to this unexpected wave of demand and decided to oblige by adding two additional weekends to their festive event calendar.
The extra festive market dates are:

December 17 (10am – 7pm), December 18 (10am – 4pm), December 19 (10am – 4pm)
The markets are open later on both Fridays to allow people can get into the swing of each weekend and soak up a proper winter market experience, with live music, street food, mulled wine and more.
Head chef Gerald van der Walt is also opening up his kitchen at Harry’s Café Bar to serve up a seasonally inspired menu on December 10, December 16 and December 17 – but you’ll need to book to avoid missing out.

Organiser, Pamela Wilson, said: ‘’Demand for our Christmas Market stall pitches this year has been phenomenal, which is why we’ve decided to add extra weekend dates. This means we can now accommodate all of the stallholders who want pitches by rotating them across the various weekend, giving everyone the opportunity to have a place for at least one of the three weekends in the festive build-up, it also rings the changes for visitors to the markets to by providing a good mix of different local artists and makers.’’
