A new cultural and creative courtyard is set to be opened in Bitts Park. Six upcycled containers located close to the car park will host up to 13 small independent businesses. Tribe Carlisle CIC won the competitive tender and is now recruiting independent local businesses to occupy the site.
Tribe Carlisle in Bitts Park

A free party is set to be held at Bitts Park as a host of DJs spin the best of indie, rock and alternative music.

Tribe will take over the Carlisle park from 3pm tomorrow playing tunes from the likes of Oasis, Stone Roses, Blur, Kasabian, Arctic Monkeys, James, Stereophonics, Foals, Fleetwood Mac – and even a few oldies from years gone by.

Street food will be provided by Beirut Bites and The Tasty Greek. Coffee and snacks will also be served by Pokey Parlour. Alcohol will also be sold.

The event is free and will run from 3pm until around 11pm. Undercover seats will be available, as will heaters if required.
