
A woman who was hanging upside down from her seatbelt had to be rescued by firefighters in Carlisle after a crash.
Fire engines from Carlisle East and Carlisle West fire stations were called at 11.55am today to a crash on Moorhouse Road.
Crews found the car on its roof with one patient trapped inside, hanging upside down from her seatbelt. Firefighters freed the woman by removing the doors of the vehicle and lowering her onto a stretcher.
It is not believed that the woman suffered any serious injuries.
Police and North West Ambulance Service also attended the incident.
