A search party is set to assemble near Workington to help look for a missing man.
Nicholas Degraff was last seen on Sunday at around 5am in Great Clifton.
Emergency services, friends and family have been searching for him since the alarm was raised on Sunday afternoon.
A search party is now being organised for tomorrow morning – Wednesday December 15 – to help with a line search along the river bank and woodland from Ripton Hall to Millfield.
People are asked to gather at The Queen’s Head in Clifton at 9am. Cumbria police are leading the search.
Nicholas, 23, of Workington, was last seen on Rosemary Gardens, Great Clifton at around 5am heading westwards towards Workington.
Dog handlers, divers and the Coastguard helicopter have all been involved in the search.
Earlier today, a police spokesman said: “We are still following multiple lines of enquiry, including the information provided by the public.
“Specialist underwater divers searched part of the river as a line of enquiry, an aerial search of the area and surrounding areas was also conducted by helicopter.
“The search continues and is being supported by multiple agencies including mountain rescue teams, Coastguard, Fire Search and Rescue and others.”
Anyone who has knowledge of Nicholas’ whereabouts is urged to call 999.
Nicholas is described as 5ft 10in, of slim build and with short, brown hair.
He has tattoos on his face and neck with spacer ear piercings.
He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black jogging bottoms, work boots and carrying a grey-coloured drawstring shoulder bag. He had an Alsatian dog with him.
Nicholas also had in his possession a 3M SPEED GLAS black welding mask – likely carried in a bag – which would be quite distinctive if found, police said.
Anyone with any other information is urged to report it at www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit or call 101.
