People will meet today to continue the search for missing Workington man Nicholas Degraff.
Nicholas, 23, was last seen in Great Clifton on Sunday at around 5am on his way home – but did not get there.
The alarm was raised at around 12.40pm and a search was launched.
Police, mountain rescue teams, the fire service, specialist divers and doghandlers, Coastguard and other agencies have been involved in the search and yesterday a public search team worked its way from Clifton to Workington.
It is understood Nicholas’ jacket was found under Calva Bridge.
The search continues today and people are urged to meet at Workington Rugby Club’s car park at 11am today.
There will be a briefing at 11.15am and at 11.30am, people will split into teams with each team having their own area of the shore to search.
Scott Lister, Nicholas’ best friend, said: “There will also be two teams needed for the river (one each side) to walk the edge from the docks up to Clifton.
“If anyone has, or knows someone who has quad bikes, motorbikes, jet skis or drones please get in touch as they will speed up the search.
“A huge thank you to everyone who assisted in yesterday’s search! It was truly heartwarming to see so many of you out helping any way you could. It just shows how amazing our community is.”
A police inspector involved in the search for missing Workington man Nicholas Degraff has urged people to check dashcams, sheds and outbuildings for any signs of him.
“We encourage people to continue to check dashcams in the Great Clifton area in the early hours of Sunday morning, to check sheds and outbuildings,” said police Inspector Laura Boyd.
She also encouraged anyone who is available to come forward and help with searches.
“What I would say is that no one should put themselves at risk and to stay safe at all times,” she added.
Anyone who has knowledge of Nicholas’ whereabouts is urged to call 999.
Nicholas is described as 5ft 10in, of slim build and with short, brown hair.
He has tattoos on his face and neck with spacer ear piercings.
He was last seen wearing a black jacket, black jogging bottoms, work boots and carrying a grey-coloured drawstring shoulder bag. He had an Alsatian dog with him.
Nicholas also had in his possession a 3M SPEED GLAS black welding mask – likely carried in a bag – which would be quite distinctive if found, police said.
Anyone with any other information is urged to report it at www.cumbria.police.uk/reportit or call 101.
