The golfers started well as Mark Cowen won the first but with United Club captain Andrew Mitchelhill winning the second frame in one of the highest scoring contests of the season the match score was level.
United Club team-mate Clive Lister soon extended the match lead with a win in frame three but as Mark Brasted won frame four a decider was required to split the two sides.

The third frame remained in the balance early on, however with a late break of 35 it was Station B’s Shaun Ayre who assured the match win for 3-0.
Points on the board now became Vets B’s priority and as Michael Sid Walker took out Station B captain Stephen O’Hagan in the next, the match score was reduced to 3-1.
The final frame of the fixture probably started with Vets B as favourites but with a clinical performance from Station B’s Simon Frazer he added to the Vets B pain to make it 4-1. Station B lead Division One on 28 points and Vets B sit second in Division Two on 15 points.

Whitehaven’s Rack Shack showed their fight with a black ball win for Peter McAvoy in frame three and with Andy Moore winning frame four the match moved to a decider.
Pressure on the home side fell to the ever-reliable Chris Hunter, and in delivering in style it was the Station A cueist who pushed his side over the line in a confidence boosting match victory.
Station A still sit at the bottom of Division One on 16 points with the Rack Shack third in Division Two on 11 points.
Finally, Workington Conservative Club held off a spirited challenge from fellow Division One opponents Veterans Club A with a 3-2 home win to maintain a top tier second spot.

Cons’ Alan Moore grew stronger as the game went on to eventually win frame three but in the performance of the match Mark Tatton came back from nearly 40 points behind to claim match parity at 2-2 with a simply brilliant comeback in frame four.
In a deciding frame that was inevitably littered with mistakes it was Stuart Shepherd who finally took control to steer the Cons to victory in a thoroughly absorbing contest.
Cons sit second in Division One on 25 point with Vets A two places lower on 18 points.
