Police probe after pedestrian in 70s hit by car in Barrow

A pedestrian in his 70s was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car in Barrow. Police and paramedics were called to the scene

A pedestrian in his 70s was taken to hospital after he was hit by a car in Barrow.

Police are investigating a collision on December 10 at about 9.45pm on Cornwallis Street.

The collision involved a pedestrian and a Vauxhall Corsa.

The pedestrian, a local man in his 70s, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital with injuries not believed to be life-changing. 

The driver of the car, a local man in his 20s, was uninjured.

Police are appealing for any witnesses in the area at the time of the collision, any dashcam footage of the collision, or of the area prior to it, or footage of the car in the lead up to the crash.
