Carlisle pub staff threatened by man wearing blue nitrile gloves and carrying Bag for Life. Police were informed

Staff at a Carlisle pub were threatened by a man wearing blue nitrile gloves and carrying a white Bag for Life.

A man is reported to have entered The Apple Tree pub on Lowther Street at around 10.45am on Wednesday and made a threat of violence to staff. He left promptly after making the threat.

The man is described as white, about 6ft 2ins, wearing a light blue dress shirt, dark jeans, blue nitrile gloves and a blue medical facemask and carrying a white Bag for Life with black handles. The man had short dark hair and dark stubble.

Police are seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who saw the man in the area of Lowther Street on December 22.
