A huge statue erected in Carlisle city centre to raise awareness about knife crime is set to move to a new Cumbrian location.
The Knife Angel is a huge statue made from 100,000 seized knives and will be on display in Barrow next month after spending December in Carlisle city centre.
To mark the departure, a short act of remembrance, lasting no more than 15 minutes, will be held in front of the Knife Angel, outside the Town Hall, at 4.30pm tomorrow.
The ceremony will provide the opportunity to pause, reflect and remember victims of violence and aggression.
During the short ceremony, led by Canon Michael Manley of the county’s cathedral, there will be one minute’s silence.
*This event will be subject to cancellation due to adverse weather conditions or any COVID restrictions which may be introduced.
