A woman with a blade was arrested after a Whitehaven town centre assault.
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a reported assault at around 1am on Monday on Senhouse Street, near the Duke Street junction.
The assault involved a woman and a man. It was reported the female had a bladed article.
A local 24-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of actual bodily harm assault with intent. She has since been released under investigation.
A 19-year-old local man received cuts and bruises during the attack.
Officers are appealing for information from anyone who may have witnessed this incident.
