
Police are investigating an assault at a Carlisle taxi rank which left a man with serious injuries.
The incident happened at the taxi rank on Court Square Brow, opposite Carlisle Railway Station, on December 27 between 5am and 6am.
The reported incident involved three men. A woman is also reported to have been involved before the incident.
A local man in his 20s received serious injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
He attended Cumberland Infirmary Carlisle A&E.
Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone with information regarding the incident.
