The Reds took an early lead through Louis Webster with parity restored when Lewis Park levelled the scores from the penalty spot.
Miners gained the upper hand when Owen Woods fired in from 25 yards and Alan Cardy stretched the score to 3-1. Play ebbed and flowed with the goals from Rueben Butterworth and Mathew Foster for the Reds taking the game into extra time with the score at 3-3.
It was Miners who progressed with Woods, Park and Cardy adding to their earlier strikes to take the tie 6-3.
