Cleator Moor Celtic beat Castletown Tigers 4-0 in the quarter final of the Cumberland FA Under-16s County Cup.
Both teams played some fast-moving football but it was Celtic who made the better of their chances.
The Tigers should have taken the lead from an early penalty but it was well-saved by Celtic keeper Fin Stephenson.
Soon afterwards Celtic broke on the left and Ben McCarron scored with a strong shot from distance.
The Tigers had a good spell, using both speedy wingers to good effect, and Stephenson did really well in making three more fine saves to keep his side ahead.
It would have been frustrating for Tigers for when Celtic put together their first attack for a while a mix-up in the Castletown box enabled Sam Dixon to calmly slot home the second goal.
Celtic had to reorganise when skipper Harley Cueto had to go off with an ankle injury. It meant McCarron moving up front from mid-field and it was a switch that paid off.
Twice he found space with good footwork and was able to beat the Tigers keeper with shots into the bottom corner to complete his hat-trick.
