Carlisle United boss Keith Millen says the club have dealt with a late-night incident involving two players “firmly and quickly”.

The two players were spoken to by police after an altercation on Botchergate in Carlisle. Officers did not take any further action.

Following the incident in the city centre on Saturday night, The Blues have confirmed that the two players involved have been subject to internal disciplinary procedure and sanctions.

Manager Keith Millen said: “They understand and acknowledge completely that their actions were unacceptable.

“We’ve dealt with it firmly and quickly as a club, and our focus is on working hard as we look towards another important game at the weekend.”
