Two Carlisle United players were spoken to by police after an ‘incident’ in the city centre.
Believed to be linked to a video on social media showing an altercation outside Walkabout on Botchergate, the club said it is “reviewing the incident”.
It took place after The Blues’ 3-0 home defeat to Swindon on Saturday, a result which leaves them second bottom and a point adrift of Oldham Athletic outside of the relegation zone – who have a game in hand.
A statement issued yesterday from the club said: “Two first-team players were spoken to by police following an incident in the city centre on Saturday evening. They returned home shortly after and no further action was taken.
“The club is reviewing the incident with those involved and any appropriate action under the club’s code of conduct will be taken, as required. We will make no other comment at this stage.”
