Former Barrow striker Jack Hindle has left Matlock Town after only a brief substitute’s appearance for the Gladiators.
The 28-year-old Hindle had signed for Matlock in January after the Town boss had been trying to recruit him before then.
Unfortunately he picked-up an injury while training at Matlock and the only time he has featured for the Derbyshire was as a 90th minute substitute in a 1-0 home defeat by Lancaster City.
Since then Phillips has insisted that Hindle needed to increase his fitness levels and he went down the list of options for the manager when he signed the experienced Marcus Marshall from Basford.
Warrington-born Hindle, who lists Radcliffe Borough among his former clubs, has re-signed for the Manchester club.
Phillips told the Matlock website: “We needed Jack to get fitter but Radcliffe have come in for him so we move on and wish him well.”
Hindle played at Racliffe, 1874 Northwich and Colwyn Bay before enjoying the best spell of his career where he played 70 games and scored 13 goals as Barrow regained their place in the Football League.
From Barrow he had very brief loan spells at Gateshead and South Shields before trying his luck in Malaysia where he played for the Kelantan club and scored three goals in ten games.
