A Cumbrian MP has launched an online resource for people to keep up-to-date with the situation in Ukraine after being contacted by hundreds of constituents.
Simon Fell, the MP for Barrow and Furness, has built a dedicated webpage to keep constituents up to date with the UK Government, and NATO’s response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
Mr Fell said: “Hundreds of residents have contacted me to express their horror, disgust, and sympathy for Ukraine.
“Many people would like to be kept informed of the steps the Government is taking, and ways in which local people can help in a safe and targeted way.”
He has created www.simonfell.org/ukrainecrisis, where he is posting updates almost daily to keep constituents informed, he added.
The website contains useful information about the UK Governent’s response to the invasion, and ways in which people can donate to the Disaster Emergency Committee.
