
A man has appeared in court charged with offences involving indecent images of children and animals.
Kyle Ramapru, 33, appeared before magistrates in Carlisle on March 11.
He did not enter a plea.
Ramapru, of Buchanan Place in Carlisle, is accused of the following offences:
- Possess extreme pornographic image/images portraying an act of intercourse/oral sex with a dead/alive animal. Between March 14, 2017, and September 30, 2020, in Carlisle, possessed extreme pornographic images, namely 189 extreme pornographic images, which portrayed, in an explicit and realistic way, a person performing an act of intercourse with a live animal which was grossly offensive, disgusting or otherwise of an obscene character and a reasonable person looking at the image would think that any such person or animal was real.
- Make indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child, between March 14, 2017, and September 30, 2020, in Carlisle, made indecent photographs, namely 992 Category B indecent photographs of children.
- Make indecent photograph/pseudo-photograph of a child. Between March 14, 2017, and September 30, 2020, in Carlisle, made indecent photographs, namely 3,696 Category C indecent photographs of children.
- Make indecent photograph/ pseudo-photograph of a child. Between March 15, 2017 and September 30, 2020, in Carlisle, made an indecent photograph, namely 734 Category A indecent photographs of children.
A person who views, acccesses or downloads an image can be deemed to have “made” an image under the law.
Ramapru was bailed to appear before Carlisle Crown Court on April 5.
